How FPL price changes work
Transfer activity can move a player’s price by £0.1m at the daily midnight UK update. Heavy buying can push a price up, while selling can bring it down. FPL does not publish the full calculation, so a net-transfer ranking alone cannot establish the exact trigger.
The official feed now includes price-change progress and, when available, a prediction. Read these alongside the player’s transfer trend and availability before making a decision. Neither indicator promises a price change. Plan a move on the homepage, then confirm it on the official FPL website.

What time do FPL player prices change?
The daily price-update deadline is midnight in the UK. The UK’s summer and winter clock changes affect the corresponding time where you live. Our latest-update timestamp records when the official feed was fetched, rather than the exact moment a player’s price changed.
Why do FPL prices rise or fall?
Buying and selling activity affects player prices. A daily movement is £0.1m, but the full calculation includes factors that FPL does not disclose. Net transfers are a useful trend to compare; they are not the complete price-change calculation.
Are price-change predictions guaranteed?
No. The official progress and predicted progress are indications of a potential change. The watchlist is ordered by gameweek net transfers, so its order is a separate buying or selling trend and can differ from the official percentages. Unavailable predictions are never filled with an estimate.
Why can these tables show gameweek changes instead of changes today?
The public player feed includes each player’s change over the gameweek. Daily history requires comparing successful snapshots. Until an actual change is observed between snapshots, we show the gameweek figures with an explicit label and do not invent a date for a rise or fall.
Do I receive the full price rise when I sell a player?
You keep half of a gain above your purchase price, rounded down to £0.1m. A drop reduces the selling value. Your own selling price depends on what you paid, so check the value shown on the official FPL Transfers page before confirming a move.
